We are a team of experts in agriculture, food, ecology, marketing, technology, and more. The company was founded in 1998 by organic and sustainability pioneer Werner Lampert, who made Austria a leader in organic agriculture with brands such as “Ja Natürlich!” (REWE) and “Zurück zum Ursprung” (HOFER).
However, organic production only makes sense when it is linked to sustainability and transparency. This is the goal pursued by the LAMPERT team led by managing directors Brigitte Hanzmann and Tobias Metzler.
The LAMPERT Sustainability Method is a structured consulting and implementation system designed for retail companies and brand manufacturers with products rooted in agriculture.
The approach ranges from developing guidelines for agriculture and processing, through product development and quality assurance, to the creation of a brand whose sustainability is scientifically proven.
In practical terms, this means: reduced compliance and reputational risks, full traceability to meet reporting requirements such as the EU Supply Chain Directive (CSDDD), greater resilience to crises through regionally anchored supply chains, and sustainability communication that is compliant with regulations—from analysis through to certified market readiness.
At LAMPERT, we view sustainability not as a marketing promise, but as a core principle of our business: For decades, eight core values—ranging from authentic sourcing and GMO-free production to animal welfare and transparency, as well as fairness toward farmers and consumers—have guided our entire value chain.
For you, this means robust supply chain documentation, batch-specific traceability via the proprietary LAMPERT transparency database, and a clear competitive edge—all supported by a team that doesn’t just manage sustainability, but actively shapes it.
