Expertise ➔ Quality Standards

Standards that go beyond legal requirements.

Sustainable food requires quality criteria and guidelines that go beyond minimum legal requirements. We develop customized quality standards for agriculture and processing that enable retailers and brands to truly stand out from the competition.

Our standards.

What a standard must do.

For us, quality starts with a conversation. Not in the lab, not at a desk, but right where farmers work and processors produce. We take regional conditions and practicality into account, and we operate in accordance with our eight core values.

What retailers and brands are asking.

How do I create sustainability guidelines that aren’t just on paper but actually work in practice? How do I develop standards that respect regional agriculture while still meeting quality requirements? And how can this be turned into a real competitive advantage—one that is credible, verifiable, and communicable?

Our response.

We always start by listening. We talk to our project partners, understand where they currently stand, and then move forward together. The guidelines that result are not imported, one-size-fits-all standards. They are developed locally, taking into account regional value creation, production methods, and climatic conditions. And they are designed to be scientifically evaluated after implementation—so that the findings can be incorporated into their further development.

What we develop.

Quality standards based on real-world experience.

Sustainability Guidelines for Agriculture and Processing

We develop customized guidelines for every step of the value chain—from agricultural production to processing. These guidelines are based on our eight core values: authentic origin, nature and climate protection, GMO-free, animal welfare, food quality, transparency, fairness for farmers, and fairness for customers. We translate these values into concrete, verifiable requirements.

Country-specific & tailored to the location

Farming is local. Our standards are developed on the ground—in consultation with producers, taking into account regional conditions such as soil, climate, crops, and farming practices. What applies in Europe looks different in America.

Scientific Evaluation & Further Development

Once the standards have been implemented, they undergo a scientific evaluation to assess their practical impact—ecological, social, and economic. These findings are directly incorporated into the further development of the guidelines. Standards are not static documents, but living systems.

Implementation & Auditing

A standard is only effective if it is monitored. We support the implementation of our guidelines through direct dialogue with producers and processors. We organize regular independent inspections and conduct our own audits and certifications. The results are recorded in the LAMPERT database.

Our audit and certification management system complies with ISO 9001:2015, Section 4.4, and has been audited by TÜV AUSTRIA.

Producers & suppliers.

The LAMPERT guidelines are based on our eight core values, which ensure comprehensive sustainability. These include economic predictability and stability through qualities that cannot be replicated.

Consumers.

High quality standards for the best products, with a provenance you can trust. Our standards protect against greenwashing and provide guidance and a reliable basis for decision-making—rather than marketing claims.

The "Prüf Nach!" standard sets binding sustainability guidelines for all agricultural partners and processing facilities in the "Zurück zum Ursprung" project. It is based on our eight core values and goes beyond the requirements of the EU Organic Regulation. It serves as the backbone of one of the best-known organic brands in Europe—and demonstrates that verifiable standards do not create complexity, but rather provide certainty.

Fairify

The FAIRIFY quality label stands for fair and sustainably produced goods. Every product bearing the FAIRIFY label must meet established social, economic, and environmental standards. Customers worldwide can trace the product’s origin and manufacturing process. The standard was applied to the Alpine Medicine project.
