Sustainability guidelines for agricultural partners and processing plants for the Zurück zum Ursprung and retour aux sources brands.
Holistic sustainability
The Prüf Nach! standard was developed by LAMPERT to ensure holistic sustainability in food production. A total of around 500 products from the organic own brands Zurück zum Ursprung (HOFER Austria) and retour aux sources (ALDI Suisse) currently bear the Prüf Nach! mark.

We are convinced that organic farming is only viable for the future if it is coupled with transparency and sustainability. We are talking about holistic and comprehensive sustainability, which includes all 4 dimensions - ecology, economy ecology, economy, social issues and corporate management.

Beyond the legal requirements
In some respects, the Prüf Nach! standard goes beyond legal requirements such as the EU Organic Farming Regulation or the Swiss Organic Farming Regulation. For example, the animals' feed must be of verifiable European origin, and in the case of cows, the majority must even come from the farm itself. The Prüf Nach! food must also be traceable online back to its origin.
The guidelines are country-specific and are developed locally, taking into account regional traditions, production methods and climatic conditions. We always start by talking to our project partners, listening to where they currently stand and then moving forward together.
Our 8 core values serve as the basis for the guidelines:

Authentic origin

Nature and climate protection

Without genetic engineering

Animal welfare

Food quality

Transparency

Fairness for farmers

Fairness for customers

Traceability & transparency
By entering the product name in combination with the batch code or the expiration date, you can find out which organic farmers supplied the raw materials for production, from which regions and by which testing partner the product was processed.
This is made possible by LAMPERT's unique database. It records audit report results, production data, information on the origin of operating and animal feedstuffs, as well as goods movement data and quantities.
Continuous further development
Our experts regularly evaluate the guidelines and work with farmers to find ways to make agriculture even more sustainable and adapt it to new conditions, such as climate change.
Cooperation and the common understanding that we are always striving further is the recipe for success here.
